Mountains are important
As part of our planet’s ecosystem they influence weather conditions across global and regional climates.
In some cultures mountains are a symbol of the planet.
And there are many stories where an individual embarks on a pilgrimage up a sacred mountain on a spiritual quest.
Great battles are fought on, around and in the shadow of mountains. For example The Battle of Thermopylae was only possible for the Greeks because of the narrow pass at the foot of Mount Kallidromo.
Just imagine the stories you could create.
What’s in the How to Draw Mountains guide?
In this guide I’ll teach you, step by step, how to draw mountains the way I do in my maps.
Starting with a simple triangular mountain up to the detailed mountains you can see in the picture above.
You’ll be able to take the same techniques I use and add them to your map.
Not only that, but as part of the launch I’m including my Map Maker Resource Kit. See below.
Bonus: Map Maker Resource Kit
The Map Maker Resource Kit is a package of printable map paper.
Here’s what you get inside:
- 1x World Map Tile (Printable jpg)
- 1x Region Map Tile (Printable jpg)
- 1x Ready made map (Printable jpg)
The ready made map can be used either as a quick start map if you need to get an RPG up and running or to practice your map design skills.
Also each map has a space at the bottom for a legend or notes and space at the top for a title.
